Biography
Steve has extensive building engineering experience, ranging from leak investigations and repairs to providing detailed specifications and construction documents for multimillion-dollar construction projects. He regularly performs engineering analysis, design, and remediation of deteriorated site facilities, including pavement, retaining walls, grading, and drainage systems.
Recognized by the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey as an expert in civil engineering, construction cost estimating, mold remediation and mold remediation cost estimating, asphalt paving, and condominium engineering, Steve has provided expert witness testimony in arbitration, mediation, and litigation, and has served as a special expert to the court.
Steve served on the committee that established industry standards for the development of Reserve Studies. He continues to contribute to the professional development of Community Association property managers by conducting training seminars for property management companies. Steve has also published various articles in trade journals, including the New Jersey Cooperator Newspaper, Community Trends (CAI-NJ), and Applicator Magazine (Sealant Waterproofing and Restoration Institute).
Steve supports his community as a member of the Far Hills Bedminster Fire Department, where he has been a structural firefighter for over 25 years and previously served as a company officer. He has also previously served as vice-chair of the Planning Board and on the Board of Health in the Borough of Far Hills.
At the office, Steve is sometimes accompanied by his friendly 90-lb. white German Shepherd, Albus. Outside work, Steve stays active by skiing, mountain biking, and playing golf with his wife and two children. He coaches his kids’ high school and middle school mountain bike teams, with the goal of getting kids outdoors and helping them to develop into healthy, responsible adults through cycling and teamwork.
Steve lives in a 125+-year-old house that he completely gutted and renovated while living in it, and he often hides out in his workshop tinkering and creating. Growing up with a dad who was a contractor, Steve has essentially been in the construction industry since he was a baby. This background truly sets Morris Engineering apart, as we are not only thinking about the design; we also focus on the practicalities of bringing that design to life.

Biography
Eric has been with Morris Engineering since its founding, starting as a staff engineer and working his way up to senior project manager. His experience as a project manager includes construction observation and administration, structural analysis and design, building assessments, design, and specifications, cost estimating, bid proposal review and comparison, coordination of construction documentation, and supervising onsite inspectors.
Eric is drawn to projects involving engineering analysis, such as the design and remediation of deteriorated site facilities, including pavement, retaining walls, structural steel frames, parking garages, in-ground pools, grading, and drainage systems. He is also interested in structural analysis and design projects and has experience with developing repair plans for failed basement foundation walls and sagging or deficient framing in existing structures.
Some unique projects that Eric has designed include bridge crane support frames, commercial stainless-steel equipment used in manufacturing processes, foundation underpinning, large-scale building demolition, dam assessment and rehabilitation, bowstring truss restoration, and multiple historic (150-plus years old) churches, synagogues, and residential farmhouse restorations.
In Eric’s free time, he enjoys playing outside with his daughter and son. He stays active by playing football and hockey in multiple men’s leagues. He also gardens and raises chickens. Eric is very handy, working on his vehicles and renovating his home. His knack for working on mechanical systems and construction projects goes hand-in-hand with the projects he is involved in at Morris Engineering.

Biography
With Morris Engineering since its founding, Keith is well-versed in project management, providing engineering and construction observation and administration of multiple simultaneous projects. His responsibilities also include project cost estimation, client cost option development, bid proposal review and comparison, supervision of job site inspectors, performing detailed forensic inspections, conducting construction meetings, handling client correspondence, invoice review, and payment recommendations.
Keith has over 20 years of experience in developing Specifications and construction details for repair or replacement of roofing, cladding, fenestrations, brick systems, pavement and sidewalks, decks, and balconies. During construction projects, Keith works closely with attorneys, insurance companies, municipalities, and private clients to assist with redesigning their building components to comply with proper codes and regulations.
As one of the firm’s Reserve Specialists, Keith assists housing communities and associations with developing or updating their Reserve Studies. Reserve Study services include site visits to evaluate the Remaining Useful Life of common element components and estimating replacement costs for those components.
Outside Morris Engineering, Keith enjoys cheering on the New York Red Bulls and shredding on the guitar. With the addition of a wood-fired pizza oven in his backyard, Keith has turned into a real “pizzaiolo,” delighting friends and family with his delicious creations. Keith enjoys entertaining and you will see him at plenty of professional networking events, including his favorite, the CAI-NJ Annual Golf Outing.

Ryan brings with him extensive experience as a structural engineer, project manager and general contractor. In the numerous projects he has managed and completed over the years, he has forged many relationships with property owners, contractors, and architects alike. Ryan maintains a practical and sensible approach when solving engineering problems while working closely with clients to provide solutions that are cost-effective and constructible.
Ryan focuses on the engineering and design of projects for both existing and new construction in the commercial, residential and industrial sectors. He has developed numerous designs for the modification, reinforcement, and renovation/retrofit of existing building structures. He has inspected countless structures in the New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania areas, as well as other buildings throughout the country to assess their existing conditions, determine feasibility for future modifications, and failure analysis. As a general contractor, he has managed projects ranging from structural framing and foundation repairs to detailed finish installation and repair.
Ryan received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, with a focus in Structural Engineering. He is a Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Structural Engineering Institute. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Missouri. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys woodworking and carpentry, as well as target shooting. Ryan lives in Long Valley with his wife Nicole, their daughter Hannah, and their dog Wilson.
Kristy Winchock, EIT

Biography
As one of the firm’s engineers, Kristy has a number of responsibilities, including building and site improvement condition assessments, construction design and specification development, construction observation and administration services, working closely with township officials and inspectors, and assisting with Transition and Reserve Study development. She has experience with Specification development and construction services for roofing, siding and cladding, pavement, deck and balcony projects. Kristy is proficient in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and Microsoft Office, and has some experience working in Revit.
Through her membership with CAI-NJ and in serving on various CAI-NJ committees, Kristy has developed strong relationships within the industry. She is committed to providing clients with services that meet their goals and budget.
When not assisting clients at Morris Engineering, Kristy spends time outside with her daughter and son. Kristy also enjoys creating unique silver jewelry with an award-winning jewelry designer in Hopewell, N.J. She loves creating something beautiful and functional out of nothing and brings the same attention to detail to her engineering work.
Dev Amin, EIT

Biography
During his time at McMaster, Dev pursued his passion for engineering, creativity and problem solving on an electric race car competition team, assisting with design, construction and testing of the carbon fiber monocoque. Dev has in-depth experience working in project management as a long-term intern for a rail industry contracting company.
As the newest addition to the Morris Engineering team, Dev assists with the investigation, evaluation, and design of repairs to existing buildings and their components. He supports senior staff with CAD drafting and modeling, development of specifications and construction administration services. Dev enjoys bringing a fresh perspective to the team while introducing modern processes that assist with record keeping and ease of use.
Dev grew up outside of Toronto and recently moved to the New Jersey area, he is taking pleasure in exploring and discovering everything this vast region has to offer. Dev spends his free time developing his hands on skills by working on home improvement projects and performing maintenance on his vehicle. His interest in construction and mechanical systems correlates incredibly with the projects he works on at Morris Engineering.
Nika Postnikov

Biography
During her time at CMU, Nika held an intern position at the Port Authority of NY & NJ, where she assisted with the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, West Bathtub Vehicular Access, and Harrison PATH station design. Nika has experience in plan review, CAD drafting and modeling, specification development, and project coordination.
At Morris Engineering, Nika assists with the investigation, evaluation, and design of repairs to existing buildings. She supports senior staff with CAD drafting and modeling, development of specifications, and construction administration services. Nika is drawn to construction defect investigations and site improvement remediation projects.
Nika is an artist at heart and spends much of her free time drawing, painting, sculpting, and cross-stitching. She is an avid plant collector and combines her love for art and all things green by sculpting and painting her own planters.
Adolfo Vazquez

Biography
Adolfo is the firm’s longest-serving construction technician. His duties include evaluation, diagnosis, and remediation of existing building components and site improvements. He provides construction observation services, including site visits to review compliance with codes and specifications and to document material quantities and quality; and construction administration services, including project cost estimating, conducting construction meetings, invoice review, and payment recommendations.
Adolfo has provided construction observation and administration services for roofing, siding and cladding, fenestration, building structure, decks and balconies, concrete and pavement replacement projects, as well as site drainage and grading projects.
As a home inspector, Adolfo has experience with reviewing and determining the general condition of all components of a home, including structural and mechanical systems.
Adolfo spends his free time with his wife and four children. He enjoys exercising regularly, including biking with his family. Having a natural affinity toward home improvement and construction, Adolfo often remodels and flips homes, and has done so for over two decades. This experience has given him a more detailed eye for his inspection role at Morris Engineering.
Scott Peterson
Biography
Scott has an extensive background in roofing, waterproofing and concrete construction. He has experience in project coordination and administration.
For Morris Engineering, Scott provides construction observation services, including site visits to review compliance with codes and specifications and to document material quantities and quality. He has provided construction observation services for roofing, siding and cladding, fenestrations, building structure, decks, and balconies, as well as site drainage and grading projects.
Scott spends his free time with his wife and two young children. He is a professional photographer with a successful business, utilizing his farm as the scenic backdrop for wedding and family portraits. On his farm, Scott has performed multi-trade renovations and restoration work to the 100+-year-old home and outbuildings. His knowledge of construction in multiple industries makes Scott a valuable member of the Morris Engineering team.
Bambi Newton
Office Manager
Biography
Bambi Newton assists the Morris Engineering team by providing broad support, from human resources and billing to marketing and office management. Bambi ensures the company is functioning productively and works with the team to improve office operations and develop policies and procedures.
Although Bambi’s professional background is almost entirely legal, with a pinch of real estate, she has jumped head-first into the engineering world since starting at Morris Engineering in 2019. Detail-oriented, Bambi is efficient and effective multi-tasker, juggling administrative and accounting responsibilities with client relations and other functions, and always meeting deadlines.
Outside work, Bambi takes walks with her husband, rides her bike and water skis with her family. She loves to travel and has lived in Sydney, Australia, and Dublin, Ireland, for a number of years. Bambi enjoys spending time with her family and working with the team at Morris Engineering.
